pumpkins and gourds and hay bales, oh my.
Pumpkins as far as the eye could see...
We went to the pumpkin patch today. Well, the kids and I met some friends from our college days...And taking photos is much more difficult when corralling a 3 1/2 year old and being the source of balance for a walking-fairly-well-on-smooth-ground-but-not-so-much-on-the-bumpy-dried-mud thirteen-month-old. (that was a lot of dashes)
Our friends - expecting their second "pumpkin" within the next few weeks.

baby thomas
i had the pleasure of photographing the birth of baby thomas early this morning. needless to say, my own kids and i are having a lazy, pajama-clad day. it was such a blessing to do this. and i definitely cried.

Alex's baby shower
Abby over at Paper&Cake is amazing...I love all their parties! I threw Alex a baby shower using their "Under the Sea" collection and got so many compliments!
I kept it pretty simple since the shower was going to be fairly small. Food: pasta salad, hummus & pita bread, veggies and dip, and cupcakes. I filled the favor baskets with peppermint patties, lip balm, and tealight candles. We played one game - I put about 15 assorted baby related items on a tray, let the ladies examine it for about a minute, then they had to write down all the items they remembered after I took the tray away. We also talked the afternoon away, as a group of women who have known each other for years and years are able to do!
